I love this day and this time of year! Today is the Lighting Ceremony On Broadway, at 5:30 pm I have the honor of introducing the mayor of Green Bay so that he can lead the countdown to the magical lights on Broadway being lit, please join us if you can! Stores are open late and we start our customer appreciation program with punch cards to earn gift certificates, come in and get yours, and tonight is a double points event.

I am also very happy to enter Thanksgiving week, a season when we all take some time to think about the things that we are thankful for, and those thoughts are the sweetest. I think about this amazing business and life that we have created, all of us together, The Gift Itself is a source of gratitude everyday for me. The artsits, the customers, the work that I am privilaged to do, and the family that I have in the Broadway district. We dreamed about it, and fifteen years later many of those dreams have come true and new ones have been born. So, in this my very first entry on TGI's blog, I get a little mushy and say thank you to all of you for so many great moments. And I ask, that when you are in the area, stop by, say hello and add something that you are grateful for to our Gratitude/Dream wall, you'll love the feeling!!
