This pin was made using sterling silver which was fabricated by hand. Inside the heart there is a hand cut piece of ivory in the shape of a heart. The ivory is from the mid 1800's and was originally made for piano keys. There are a number of red beads along the edge which are a great accent. Then everything has been set in the silver in a non-yellowing resin.
